This Is Not a Government or Law-Enforcement Office. Cherry County Warrant Records is a private reference site. It cannot confirm a warrant, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange surrender, set a court date, or provide legal advice. The official answer must come from the issuing court or the Sheriff.
Where to Ask About a Warrant
Route the question by record and role:
- Sheriff: ask about service, custody, or whether the office can confirm a current process. Cherry County Sheriff's Office, 365 N Main Street #9, Valentine, NE 69201, 402-376-1890, 966@cherrycountyne.gov. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m.
- County Court: ask about traffic, misdemeanors, city ordinances, preliminary felony hearings, missed dates, payments, recall, and release. 365 N Main Street #12, 402-376-2590.
- District Court Clerk: ask about district felony and general-jurisdiction records. Suite #11, 402-376-1840.
- Valentine Police: ask where a city citation began or which court received it. Suite #10, 402-376-3055, with a 24/7 nonemergency number.
Online Case and Records Routes
Nebraska JUSTICE provides public trial-court case information by name, county, court type, case type, year, judge, attorney, case number, and judgment date. It is not a complete warrant-only database and can lag updates. The official JUSTICE search is the public case route.
For documents not available online, use the Cherry County public-records page and its request form. Describe the court, date span, case or citation number, and the exact record. The county policy says no reason or Nebraska residency is required. Costs and legal access limits can apply.
Payment and Release Questions
The Nebraska Judicial Branch payment portal accepts eligible ticket or case payments by card or eCheck, adds at least $1.25 per case or ticket, and states that bond payments are not allowed online. Do not assume a payment recalls a warrant. Ask County Court or the issuing clerk whether a separate appearance, order, bond, or surrender is required.
The county Justice Center does not publish a separate public surrender window or bond schedule. Call the Sheriff or court before appearing in person.
